Cherise Challenger

Attorney Cherise Challenger was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois where she attended Chicago State University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. Cherise graduated from the University of Arkansas, School of Law in 2008 where she excelled in the Criminal Defense and Criminal Prosecution clinic as well as the Negotiations and Trial Advocacy Competitions. During her law school summers, Cherise clerked with a United States District Judge and a criminal defense law firm.  As a result, she grew a strong passion for the law. 

After graduation, Cherise moved to San Antonio, Texas and began working as an Attorney Developer for Thomson Reuters, parent company to Westlaw Research. Cherise moved around the country with her husband, who was active duty in the military. She stayed active in legal organizations as a military spouse and worked in the civil litigation department of various law firms.

In 2017, Cherise and her family settled in Atlanta, Georgia after her husband retired from the military.  Cherise worked at a private law firm, representing indigent clients for misdemeanor crimes in both Henry and Clayton Counties. Cherise handled several criminal jury and bench trials, numerous motions, and managed a heavy caseload of 100+ cases and court calendars in multiple courtrooms. She also trained newly hired attorneys and was the criminal defense attorney for Mental Health Court.

In 2019, Cherise decided to become a prosecutor in Fulton County to understand the other side of the justice system. She excelled after trying multiple cases and resigned as a senior prosecutor before deciding to open up her own law firm.  She is enthusiastic to represent her clients once again with zealous and the utmost professionalism. Cherise holds multiple law licenses in the State of Georgia, Texas, Washington DC, US Supreme Court and is a member of various local bar organizations.  Cherise is also an active member in her community. She is active in her local church and is an Attorney Coach for Mock Trial Competitions at a local high school.
